The Lake Today

The Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center has made the health of the lake and the study of it one of our top priorities over the past few years. For that reason, we have begun “The Lake Today” report where we hope to provide Greater Burlington and surrounding communities with the most up to date information we can about topics such as daily water level and quality. Check back here every day to access the best information about the lake we all love.

The Lake Today

June 17, 2011

Lake Level: 100.21 feet above sea level, 0.21 feet above flood stage*

Water Temperature: 62.5 degrees Fahrenheit*

Water Quality: 3 E. coli/100 ml of water, well below the EPA maximum of 235 E. coli/100 ml of water that is considered safe for swimming!**

We’ve been taking advantage of the warm weather and rapidly lowering lake levels to start putting in our docks. We’re only a little bit over flood stage and are getting ready for camps, classes, and rentals!
