But talk to the individual on the sailboat in the picture and you’ll understand the irony — for all the promotional photos of sailboats on the water, very few local people have actually been on a sailboat on Lake Champlain.

Community Sailing Center to Host Interscholastic High School Sailing Regatta

Burlington, VT – The Community Sailing Center will host an Interscholastic High School Sailing Regatta this Saturday, May 16th at 3pm. Teams from the Northern Vermont High School Sailing Program and Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, NH) will be participating in the regatta. The event will take place on Burlington’s waterfront at the Community Sailing Center.

Community Sailing Center Installs New Infrastructure Improvement

Burlington, VT – The Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center located on Burlington’s waterfront at the Moran building launched a new 335 foot –long floating wave attenuator this past week. The new infrastructure improvement is made possible by three Boating Infrastructure Grants from the US Fish and Wildlife Service, administered by the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife totaling $193,000.
