Come experience the sport of sailing!

The Community Sailing Center offers an exciting range of low cost programs tailored for school groups or nonprofit organizations that serve children aged between 6-18 years old.

Your group will experience the thrills of sailing and enjoy the benefit of being educated by certified instructors aboard our sailboats. Your students will not only learn a new set of skills but will also be interacting with positive role models.

The Community Sailing Center can accommodate groups up to 35 students at one time.

Fall Programs

School Day Education Programs

This year we will be offering new environmental education programs right on the waterfront at the Community Sailing Center. This innovative program is designed to get elementary and middle school aged children outside of the classroom for a hands-on day of learning and on-the-water excitement.

The day program includes two academic subject areas as well as two activities on the water. You can match up any two subjects to create a full school day trip or you can choose one subject area and have a shortened schedule. We are completely flexible with our scheduling and are able to adapt our programs to fit your academic needs.

These programs are available from August 24th to October 12th.

Youth Environmental Stewardship Program

This innovative environmental education program is a 5-week program designed to engage elementary and middle school students outside and on the lake after school! Not only is the Youth Environmental Stewardship Program an outdoor, on-the-water program, but also a learning experience for everyone involved! We will discover new and exciting ecosystems in and around Lake Champlain and explore what effect we as humans have on them. The lessons include experiential learning and experiments on our waterfront property with an extended adventure on the lake in a sailboat, canoe, or kayak!

Program Starts September 8th.
