Programs & Priorities: Diversity Access Initiative

We’re welcoming a new generation of sailors.

The Diversity Access Initiative provides campers between the ages of 11-15 who identify as BIPOC a 100% paid and supported summer camp experience. The goal of this unique offering is to create new summer opportunities and recreation options for kids who come from diverse communities and families.

New campers start with two weeks of summer camp, and if they discover a love for sailing, we provide full support for up to four years. This journey includes learning how to sail, racing in middle school and high school, and becoming a junior instructor.

DAI Scholarships include:

One to two weeks of CSC youth camps 100% supported for new participants
Fall & Spring programming for intermediate & advanced sailors in middle & high school
Availability for early drop-off (starting at 8:00 am) and late pick-up (until 5:30 pm)
$30/week in transportation stipends to support participants’ travel to and from our facility

Our summer camps are Monday through Friday each week from 9am-4pm with optional Early Drop Off (starting at 8am) & Late Pick Up (going until 5:30pm). Will the camper(s) have reliable transportation to & from the CSC at 505 Lake St. in Burlington?* (We are not able to provide transportation)
