About the Community Sailing Center
Our mission is to encourage and celebrate the responsible use and long-term stewardship of Lake Champlain by fostering educational and recreational opportunities for all members of our community. The CSC is located on the waterfront in Burlington, VT and continues to grant lake access to the city after 20 spectacular years. CSC offers programs for local youth, adult, students, and visiting sailing and paddling enthusiasts. The CSC hosts signature events each year where the community comes together to celebrate the Lake. CSC’s programs range from recreational to racing and accommodate every sailor. Our fleet is composed of Open Bics, Hartley 10s, Escapes, 420’s, Lasers, Sonars, Rhodes 19s, Martin 16’s, and stand-up paddleboards.

If you’ve never been to Burlington, come visit us, you won’t be disappointed! Nestled between the epic Green Mountains and the Adirondacks, Burlington sits on the shores of Lake Champlain and has fun opportunities for everyone. There are several yacht clubs in the nearby towns that provide racing on dinghies and keelboats. Lake Champlain is a regional destination for large regattas and local sailors are always interested in having new crew. Other than sailing, there are numerous opportunities to get outside and hike, bike, and swim. Downtown Burlington is just minutes away from the CSC and supports a lively music scene with a multitude of delicious local restaurants.
