There are two ways to volunteer:
Volunteer Program
Requirements: Attend any/all shifts you sign up for. Report volunteer hours.
Benefits: Other than meeting great people, spending time on or near the Lake, and supporting the CSC, volunteers also earn one hour of free rentals for every two hours of service.
To register: Complete the volunteer registration form below. After you have completed this form, you are automatically able to sign up for any open shift via Amilia SmartRec. You will begin receiving bi-weekly Volunteer Opportunity emails. These include links to sign-up for volunteer shifts as well.
The Mates Program
The Mates Program is a small, dedicated group of volunteers who are often the first to jump in, help lead volunteer efforts, and are an integral part of the CSC community. Limited to 10 people, Mates take on a higher level of involvement and help support both staff and fellow volunteers throughout the season.
Requirements: Commit to volunteering 25 hours from May-October (about 4-5 hours per month).
Within those hours, Mates take part in a variety of volunteer experiences, including: 2 Rental Assistance shifts, 2 Outreach shifts, 1 Maintenance/Work Day shift.
All Mates are required to attend a seasonal orientation, become familiar with CSC programs and rental operations, as well as sign up for and attend scheduled volunteer shifts. We’ll provide guidance and support along the way, and you’ll gain experience in a variety of roles across the organization.
Benefits: In addition to being part of a dedicated volunteer team, Mates earn unlimited free rentals, and receive course discounts (25% off all adult courses).
To register: Complete the volunteer registration form below. After receiving your registration, we’ll follow up with a quick conversation to learn more about your interests and make sure the program is a good fit.

Upcoming Opportunities
Scrub a dub dub! It takes a community to keep our fleet clean. Join us every third Thursday throughout the summer to roll up your sleeves and care for our boats. Whether you can only stay for 30 minutes or the full session, this volunteer event is open to all. You do not need to be a part of CSC's Volunteer Program to participate.
Suds & Sailboats
Join us every month to help keep our fleet of sailboats in tip-top shape while connecting with others who care about access to the lake! Help clean, move, and spray down our fleet. We'll cap off the evening with a brew at Foam Brewers. No experience required but wear clothing you are okay with getting muddy and wet.
