Paddling & More: PaddleCraft
Explore the lake in a human-powered craft.
Sailing might be our middle name, but that’s not all that we do at the Community Sailing Center. The CSC is a great place to rent or launch a canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard and paddle at your own pace along the shoreline, breakwater, or out to North Beach or Lone Rock Point. No wind needed!
Stand-up Paddleboards
Stand-up paddleboarding offers an excellent core body and balance workout that’s challenging at first, then becomes an almost effortless way to explore the lake. Paddleboards are designed for one person and use a single oar to paddle and steer.
Canoes
Paddling a canoe together is a great way to get some fresh air and investigate the shoreline as a couple or a family. Two paddlers – one in front and one in back – power and navigate the canoe as a team with room for a picnic or a small third person in the middle.
Kayaks
Kayaks offer smooth, slightly faster travel than a canoe, with a double-ended paddle that’s helpful for picking up speed or navigating the contours of the shoreline. Opt for a solo adventure or a tandem kayak to bring a friend!

Many of our Youth Camps and Adult Programs include paddling sessions.
Rentals
Spend an hour or half a day exploring Burlington Bay by paddleboard with a rental package, which includes a board, kayak, or canoe, plus paddles, life vests, and recommendations for places to explore.
