The Fine Print
Bookings are made on a first-come, first-serve basis of availability. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total payment, plus a signed contract, secures your date of choice. The remaining 50% of the total payment is due 3 days prior to the date of the facility rental.
Set up and breakdown of decor and removal of any other items the client or vendors bring into the space is the responsibility of the client and must be completed before leaving the premises. Any additional cleanup that the Community Sailing Center must do following the event will be documented and charged a fee of $250/hour.
Cancellations made more than 10 days prior to the date of the facility rental will not incur payment of the remaining 50% balance. For cancellations made within 10 days of the event, the total rental fee is not refundable and any remaining balance must still be paid.
Due to the Burlington noise ordinance, all amplified noise must end at 10pm and the last call for the bar must be at 10:30pm. All guests must leave the building by 11pm and only vendors or hosts may remain.
For any event serving food and alcohol, the client must provide a certificate of insurance naming the Community Sailing Center as an additional insured and demonstrating general liability insurance totaling a minimum of $1 million. This is also known as event insurance.
