This is as close as you’ll get to standing on water!
Stand-up paddleboarding is a unique sport that has exploded in popularity over the past several years. Using a modern interpretation of a Hawaiian long board, you quickly learn to “walk on water.” Paddleboarding offers an excellent core body and balance workout that’s challenging at first, then becomes an almost effortless way to explore the lake. There are several ways to experience paddleboarding at the Community Sailing Center:
Rentals
Spend an hour or half a day exploring Burlington Bay by paddleboard with a rental package, which includes a board, paddle, life vest, and recommendations for places to paddle.
Kids’ Camps
Several of our week-long summer programs for kids include paddleboarding excursions as part of the day’s activities.
Floating Yoga
This exciting class combines stand-up paddleboarding and yoga. Classes begin on land with yoga poses and basic paddleboarding techniques followed by an on-water session utilizing yoga and paddleboarding skills.
Corporate Outings
Whether the goal is team building or just having fun, our corporate programs include several options for paddleboarding.
